  • What is your processing time on orders?
    **Please first check the announcement bar at the top of the website for any current shipping announcements** We do our best to get orders in the mail within two to three days, and frequently provide same-day processing. Special circumstances may cause interruptions to our normally high level of customer service. Thank you for understanding.
  • What is your shipping policy?

  • What is your favorite scent?
    Personally, I love them all, but creating my Fraser Fir was the inspiration that launched my candle business. Each of my kids has their own favorite scent. It’s been fun sharing my candles with family and friends and learning which scents speak to them. We look forward to hearing what your favorite scent will be.
  • What is the approximate burn time of each candle?
    Tin: 16-18 hours Medium: 45-50 hours Large: 75-80 hours
  • Why is it important to keep wicks trimmed?
    Trimming your candle's wick before lighting will prolong the life of your candle and allow for the cleanest burn possible. If you don't trim your wick, you run the risk of tunneling. When your wick is too long and the flame gets too hot, this causes excess wax to burn. Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. Your candle will burn cleaner and last longer.
  • What causes candle tunneling?
    “Tunneling” is when a candle burns a hole straight down its middle while the edges and sides are left unmelted. Two things most cause tunneling most often: either the wick is not large enough for your wax container and/or fragrance combination, (don’t worry, that’s why we did extensive testing of our candles) or the candle didn't burn long enough during each lighting. Light your candle for two to three hours, or until the melt pool reaches the entire inside perimeter of the container.
  • What is Cold Throw? Hot Throw?
    Cold throw is how the candle smells in the jar. Hot Throw is how the scent carries into your space while burning. All of our candles have been tested extensively to ensure both a satisfying cold and hot throw. Allow wax to melt across, to the edges or close to the edges, on the first burn. This will establish a larger scent throw and has the benefit of preventing tunneling.
  • Why soy?
    Soy wax is non-toxic and cleaner-burning being made with no toxins, carcinogens, or pollutants, which means our candles are less likely to trigger allergies. As a vegetable-based wax, it does not give off any harmful byproducts or produce black soot that can stain walls and curtains. If you've been burning petroleum based wax candles or petroleum wax blends in the past, you may notice your furnace filter looks cleaner after burning soy.
  • How do you create your scents?
    Each scent is created from plant-based essential oils and phthalate free fragrance oils
  • What’s not in your candles?
    You will not find phthalates, parabens, paraffins, dyes, or any nasty chemical stuff. All the candles are 100% petroleum free.
  • What are some Candle Safety guidelines?
    Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always burn within sight. Burn the candle for a maximum of four hours at a time. Place the candle on a level, fire resistant counter so there is no danger of it lighting flammable objects. Do not place items in candles such as decorative flowers or wick trimmings. Keep children and pets away from the burning candle. Snuff out candle flame, never extinguish candles with water.

  • What is your return policy?
    If you are not 100% satisfied with your Girl Naturalist candle, we would love to help make that right! Please contact us within 30 days of purchase and we'll help get the exchange or refund process started. Returns and exchanges must be made within 30 days of purchase.
